About

Lisa is a fun-filled Christian Fiction author, speaker and history fan. Lisa resides in Hopkins County, Kentucky with her family.

Lisa is on staff full time at The River in Nortonville. She works as a part of the pastoral team, she and her husband lead the River University ministry.

She was born in Ohio (Newcomerstown), raised in Muhlenberg County (Graduated from Drakesboro High School) and resides in Hopkins County. Lisa's family moved to Kentucky when she was eight years old. Her father was a respected coal miner for Peabody Coal Company, and her mother was a corporate nurse.

Her parents are currently resident missionaries in Honduras. She has two children and a toy poodle named Chloe. Lisa and her husband traveled with the gospel group, NewGrace, for about fifteen years.

WRITING

Lisa attributes her love for writing to her mother and to her third grade teacher, Ms. Larkin. "The ability a teacher has to instill passion and love for a subject is equal to the passion she shows to her pupil. Ms. Larkin made learning fun and when I turned in my short one page (large print) stories, she applauded and made me feel like I had written a best selling novel."

The third novel to Lisa's trilogy, Wright & Wingold was published in 2009. This completes this series. Currently, Lisa is working on a historical novel series featuring diverse locations in Kentucky.

Lisa teamed up with J. Harold Utley early in 2009 to write Images of Hopkins County. It is Lisa's third non-fiction book.
