River Staff

Pastor Howard & Joanne Jones have been senior pastors at The River since December of 1987.

The heart of the message at The River is salvation through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Pastor Jones is a Kingdom minded man who believes that the Hope and Grace of Christ can touch the heart of even those who the world deem hopeless.

Pastor Joanne leads the RUTH (widows ministry), the River School of Ministry, the Damascus Road House and The River youth group, PULSE. Pastor Joanne also leads the nursery ministry and is a part of the frontline music ministry team.

Pastor Paul & Kim McPeek are the executive pastors at The River. Pastor Paul is a licensed and ordained minister who has served full time since May of 1996. Pastor Paul leads praise and worship in an anointing that leads The River into the presence of God.

Pastor Paul is the River administrator and serves faithfully in day to day operations.

Kim is a vocalist on the front line and works behind the scenes in many of The River projects.


Dennis & Pastor Lisa Piper
 Dennis Piper is involved in the music ministry as a musician and band leader. He and Lisa are the leaders for the college age ministry, RU. 

Lisa is an ordained minister, author and teacher. She is an event planner and offers pastoral care and clerical assistance for the church and has been on staff since March of 2005.
